As part of understanding the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each individual, the book enables each nurse to have a better idea on how to treat and provide the different levels of care to sick individuals including their loved ones. Since Florence Nightingale herself is a devoted nurse, she intentionally wrote the book based on her personal experiences with regards to her personal management of nursing duties.
